Great fast Mexican food, and the ladies taking the orders are very personable and fun too.

Stopped by to take advantage of their advertised "$0.99 Taco Tuesday". Boy, what a mistake! First, the taco special only applies to their ground beef, shredded beef, and chicken HARD tacos. Any of the other more traditional soft tacos will run you $2.40 up to $3.50. So I ordered a carne asada, adobada (since there was no al pastor), and a Tuesday night special chicken taco, all for $7.55. The carne asada, was a little tough and stringy, so a bit overcooked. Unfortunately, it was the best of the three. The adobada was heavily charred and it came through in the flavor: charcoal. There was no flavor, it was not tender even though it was marinated, just terrible. These two tacos were also, relatively large for soft tacos making them unwieldy to eat. The $0.99 chicken taco was just subpar, surprise, surprise. The chicken was dry and the toppings were plan: just shredded lettuce and cheese. The taco shell was surprisingly good, crispy and freshly fried. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean and they are opened 24 hours. The minor positives didn't make up for the major negatives of the food and crappy $0.99 taco selection. If I do ever go back, it will not be for the tacos.

Was pleasantly surprised by how delicious (& spicy) their chile verde burrito was when my father brought us burritos during our trip to the lake. Went back yesterday to order the same & they gave me one chile verde plate (among other things we ordered) but also gave us a chile relleno burrito instead of the chile verde burrito we had ordered. BOTH were requested in the same manner & don't understand how the heck this mix up occurred. To further my frustration, they charged me extra for the damn chile relleno! How that makes any damn sense is beyond me. Was so pissed I was ready to turn back & make them give me another, but ended up mooching off my family's plates. FAIL. Not entirely sure how good their other food is but from my taste test of everyone else's food, I noticed it was on the saltier side & was not as good as the chile verde I had tried prior. Such a shame. So long as I actually get what I ordered, I'd head back to this place if necessary.

Great fast Mexican food. Stopped on the way out of Havasu and was pleasantly surprised. I feel too many hole in the wall taco shops sacrifice quality to impress with size. The size of our burritos was the size it should be. Not too big, not too small. My Carne asada was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Guacamole was tasty. Hot sauce was also good. Next trip to Havasu, we will be back.

We go in for a burrito at 10am, place is empty, order then sit down and I notice they are playing cartoons loudly which I have to ask them to turn down. There are TV's all over with no one watching, it is really annoying especially in such a small place with no sound deadening. The food here is just something to get rid of the hunger nothing more. What kind of Mexican restaurant does not have cabbage only lettuce? No flavor, no quality, no eye appeal, nothing. Last time I go here.

The employee was very courteous. The #1 Pollo Platter was HORRIBLE. In Phoenix I ate at a Filibertos 1-2x per week (at 6 different locations) and I loved it. NOTHING about this store resembles a true Filibertos. The quantity was 30% less, guacamole was bland avacado sauce, refried beans were bland & watered down, the rice tasted like dirty feet smell, the dry chicken had no flavor but for a barely noticeable spice of some sort and the pico had little to no taste-even the onions. I couldn't even force myself to eat this meal. I tried adding green sauce, but no salsa could fix the raunch of the dry, pasty, watered down cardboard and dirty feet combo that they serve. I have no idea how they stay in business.

Ok what I'm about to write is not an exaggeration... This morning at 6am my bf and I each ordered a steak & egg breakfast burrito. First of all I don't know what the meat was but I'm unsure that it was steak...or beef of any kind. Neither of us liked it so (no joke) we gave the rest to our 2 dogs, minus the tortilla. So, "steak", eggs, and cheese. By 10am I had the runs. Lasted about 6 hours. By noon my bf did too. Worst of all, one of my dogs threw up 6 times and hasn't eaten anything else all day. She's the sickest of us all. None of us had had anything else to eat, and we were all feeling fine prior to eating those burritos. I will never eat there again. Even if they hadn't made us sick, there was no flavor and the "salsa" was crappy hot sauce. Zero stars.

This place has become a regular lunch spot for me. Clean, friendly, reasonably priced. The California burritos are kick ass and the carne asada tacos are great. Before 10:30 am you can get the Big Breakfast Burrito for 2.99 .

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
